DL3 takes a peek over mommy's shoulder.

This was DL3 at almost two (2) months old.  A very curious baby he is.  Always wanting to see what his surroundings are.

Now, at 2 1/2 months, DL3 can almost keep his head up steadily while being supported under his arms, wanting to look around as always.  He demands to be carried by kicking with force.  He won't settle simply to be carried while mommy or daddy stays seated.  He wants us to be standing up for him to have a better view of the room or the place we're in!  Oh, and he knows if we try to make it seem like he's lifted already.  There's no fooling this little boy.  Smart!

Anyway, let me just share with you my after-birth experience with DL3.  It wasn't an easy one at all.  Giving birth turned out to be chicken feed compared to my recuperation period.  I experienced continuous bleeding for more than a month since my uterus wasn't contracting enough to completely get back to its normal size.  I felt weak for the longest time.  Even my doctor was worried since she has not experienced anything quite like my case in her decades of experience! (learning that gave me a bit of a scare, too)

Thankfully, after two (2) months, I started feeling better.  Getting a bit dizzy every once in a while from blood loss, but I know that I'm back.  My recent check-up with my doctor proved it as well.

This whole after-birth experience made me more certain with my decision that DL3 will be our last baby.  B is supportive about it (though I know deep inside, he doesn't mind having another child, a girl maybe).  We're very happy with our three (3) boys and really excited to do a lot of things with them when DL3 is a bit older.

For now, it's still a lot of breastfeeding and diaper-changing for me.  Not much of the sleepless nights anymore but still in the "I need more sleep" phase because getting up in the wee hours of the morning still happens, to nurse and change DL3.  So, my day normally begins at around 10:00-11:00am.  If I do manage to get up at around 8:00-9:00am with DL3, I join my two (2) older boys for breakfast then go back to sleep with DL3 as well.  It may seem like I'm getting all the rest I need, but nope, I'm not.  With DL1 and DL2 always wanting to be around DL3, my sleep during the day are always interrupted.  Well, that's all part of having kids their age!

Oh, DL3 is about to wake so I need to end this post.  I will be back for more updates and experiences to be shared. Smile

Until then!
