With our newest member of the family. DL3 was born early morning of November 4. When we got to the hospital, we waited for around six (6) hours before my bag of waters ruptured. From that time on, I was in labor with pain, and at exactly an hour, DL3 came out. He was so calm and composed, like he was all ready to be born, like we were in sync for the past few weeks, prepping up for the big day, his 37th week. I am so happy and thankful that I made it through another epidural-free delivery like I did with my last two (2). We also had our son roomed in immediately so I could start breastfeeding him the soonest. Like DL1 and DL2, he instantly latched, making it easy for me to nurse him. Now that I am back to caring for another baby of ours, I am adamant to exclusively breastfeed him for as long as I can, two (2) years at the least. I also intend to babywear him until he is ready to walk on his own or until I can no longer carry his weight (since I have a lower back problem). Motherhood is both fulfilling and difficult but it's all a matter of how one perceives it. I'm definitely finding it very fulfilling despite the difficulties. With this being said, I really think that mothers are truly built to endure -- to endure all the hardships, sacrifices, and pain in bringing up their children, from the very moment they were conceived. Here's to motherhood! |

CONGRATULATIONS!!! =) Such a beautiful baby and you look great too! Glad that everything went well. You are definitely a superwoman. =)
Aaawww... such a nice portrait. =) I want to get pregnant again minus the induced labor. Hehehe. But yup, I also had an epidural-free delivery (I chose not to. In my opinion, having one is also like going through CS minus the incision with all the prep. And I want to feel the baby come out in this world and meet her face to face without feeling groggy or something. =)
Wishing you all the best. Being a mom is the most wonderful feeling in the world. It brings out the best in you. And I totally agree with what you said that "Motherhood is both fulfilling and difficult but it's all a matter of how one perceives it. I'm definitely finding it very fulfilling despite the difficulties."
"Motherhood is motherhood is motherhood". Take care. God Bless!
Cheers!
Charesse =)
