This photo was taken for Monday Magazine (Edition 03 Volume 01 Sept.-Oct. 2010). I was featured as one of the Mompreneurs in their profile-business section. I was 26 weeks pregnant then (6 1/2 months) and was so proud to show my bump (though it wasn't that obvious with the top I was asked to wear). I am sharing this photo because it is a shot with our third son while he was in my tummy, our new bundle of joy, our newest blessing. In a few hours, you will be in my arms and we will have our very first mother-and-child bonding moment. You will be latched to me as soon as daddy cuts your umbilical cord and I will start nurturing you with my breastmilk. Daddy will also be busy capturing photos of you, of us in the delivery room. Once you are roomed in, mommy and daddy will be carrying you in our arms, keeping you warm, watching over you as you sleep, changing you, and doing everything to make you feel comfortable in this new world you're in. We will be in utter awe and feel so ecstatic to finally meet you after patiently waiting for 37 weeks. We have loved you since we learned that you have been conceived and we will love you for the rest of your days , just like with your two (2) older brothers who are so excited to see you as well! Welcome to the family, son! With much love, Mommy & Daddy Note: This morning, we went for my last visit to my OB-Gyn. I was already 4cm dilated, 80% effaced, and our baby's head was in station -1. My doctor said that I can already give birth tonight. I was really happy to hear that because I had my mind set on giving birth on this day, which is exactly my 37th week. Talk about our baby being so cooperative! |
