Dengue cases are on the rise once more now that the rainy season is here.  I have been hearing a lot of stories lately, both from the news and from personal accounts of friends.  In fact, according to the Department of Health (DOH), its percentage is much higher than that of last year's!

Dengue virus is transmitted to humans through mosquito bites, a specific species of mosquito usually Aedes aegypti (but frequently Aedes albopictus) which bites during morning hours. The mosquito transmits disease by biting an infected person and then biting someone else, similar to the spread of chikungunya.

I just want to share this text I got from my cousin:

Tina just came from China and she forgot to take out the Disinfect It! Spray from her bag.  They did several tests to check if flammable. :) haha!  It passed, no alcohol!
